The founde rof Labor Day surprised - but wouldn't have if I had known it was a result of the Pullman Strike - as that would have given me a time frame. I guess FDR. He started so many programs and holiday "days" to get the American economy and morale up that this would have been right up his alley had Grover not done it first! Thanks for making me use my brain - at least for a moment - on a Sunday!
