Six Sentence Sunday





Another excerpt from Thirst: All-American Vampires 2, my current WIP.

“I could tell pretty quickly that there was no way we could get away, so I told them—” Claire licked her lips and dropped her gaze to her hands where they rested in her lap. “I told them that I’d do whatever they wanted to me if they left Cassie alone. So they did.”
Hawk waited for her to continue, but the silence drew out. He could imagine what had happened next and and clenched his fists at the overpowering rage he felt to kill those who had hurt her.

  18. "So they did." I love how you get the reader involved in imagining what happened with that simple statement and then when Hawk thinks he can imagine what happened next, we're picturing it even more. Great six.
