So a while back I downloaded GIMP. It's like Photoshop only it's free. But it's also very complicated. I've been playing with it and finally feel like I'm getting a little bit of a hang to it. There are some great tutorials on youtube, thank goodness, otherwise I'd been completely lost. The banner I've got on my site is the result of my most recent project. I think it turned out pretty good. Unfortunately, I think I'm becoming addicted to GIMP. I'm designing banners instead of writing. Ugh!
I think the banner is fantastic! I too downloaded it a while back, but I haven't gotten to play around with it yet. I want to, though. :)

ReplyDeleteI've not tried GIMP, but I have Serif PhotoPlus and I agree, it is very addictive to design banners and such. The banner looks wonderful!

@Savanna. Thanks. Yeah, that's definitely my problem. The more I learn, the more I wanna know. lol!
ReplyDelete@Serena...I had Bannermaker, but I had all kinds of issues. Mainly all files are saved as .gif's and it would mess up my colors and some of the fonts. This is much better!
