Six Sentence Sunday


  

This week's excerpt is again from my short story Mating Run.

“What the hell are you doing here, Maggie?” he growled, glaring at Davey and barely able to keep from ripping the idiot’s arm off.
He saw her eyes widen as they lifted to his but she didn’t smile, “Caleb.”
“You shouldn’t be here, Maggie. You’re not ready for this.” He saw her chin rise up and she gave him that hard-headed stare of hers.
“Excuse me?”
